INTRODUCING THE LESSON
  1. Show the students various objects that symbolize everyday life. For example, a flag to represent our country, a picture of a pumpkin to represent Halloween, etc.
  2. Brainstorm ways that we can represent the Cinderellas from around the world (clothing or type of shoe, for example).
DEVELOPING THE LESSON
1. The students will create a map key using symbols that represent the Cinderella from each version.

2. Have the students work in groups and locate the representative countries on a world map.

3. Using the map key, each group will place their symbol in the corresponding country.

ASSESSING THE LESSON
1. Students should be able to correctly identify the various countries on the world map.
EXTENDING THE LESSON
1. The children will further research the cultures and produce a report.
